[News] Frankie Lam, Kenix Kwok and Daughter Attends Charity Event

Yesterday Frankie Lam and Kenix Kwok, along with their daughter attended a charity event! I really miss seeing Kenix onscreen but look how happy their family is :) The two pictures of their daughter kissing them...So sweet!!!

btw Frankie Lam will be filming a HKTV series with Yoyo Mung soon! :D

[News] Michael Tao & Kenix Kwok "old lovers" exposes the past relationship

Michael Tao and Kenix Kwok were the classic on-screen couple of 1997. From 1995-1997, Michael and Kenix started their fate from the 100 episode Detective Investigation Files (DIF I,II&III) franchise. Earlier when "Dai Yung" Michael met "Ko Jit" Kenix again at Timmy Hung's wedding, he posted their photo on Weibo and made a large group of fans reminiscing on this golden pair. This pair of "old lovers", exposed back then, they were just one step away from developing a relationship. Kenix joked Michael wasn't proactive enough.

M: Michael Tao
K: Kenix Kwok

Latest photo together madly circulated online

M: Seeing you again after so many years, you're still so pretty and now there is even an additional maturity piece in you! We met again at Timmy's wedding, very surprising!

K: You haven't changed either, still optimistic with a wide smile! In fact, last time we had pictures together were just requests from the media and with all the fans discussing, it madly circulated! Back then when I was shooting the DIF franchise, I was a newcomer, and this series was also the turning point in my career!

M: A white piece of paper can absorb the most! Your portrayal of "Ko Jit" was very natural!

K: Actually my debut Glittering Moments was with you too. I gave my first time to you! Then, we had three seasons of DIF together. The first one I was the foolish one and the second was the one a lot of audience demanded for a redo because at the time, people were unhappy after watching the ending and sent complaint letters to K-100. At the time, producer Poon Ka Tak especially came up with the ending...he wrote that I lost my memory and had to leave. At the airport, "Ko Jit" turns around and stares at "Dai Yung".....then it ends there. Audience were heartbroken!

M: The producer is very clever, with that kind of ending, then they can make a third installment! On the third season, we went to Beijing to shoot. I remember it was miserable for you...vomiting and diarrhea! At the time, the temperatures were some 10 degrees below zero. You had to do two roles too, every scene had you in it! I felt bad for you, but I couldn't do anything to help.

K: You helped me stop the vomitting and diarrhea! I remember one morning, you had to go for outdoor shooting, but I was still having diarrhea, you knocked on my door and asked me if I'm still feeling unwell...but, I still made it through.

M: All that difficulty is worth it. Ten years later, when you're back working in Mainland, many people still remember "Dai Yung" and "Ko Jit", the classic couple!

Classic on-screen couple, rare they match so well

K: We are definitely a classic couple, you're my classic partner! Our type of 'match', it's not just beautiful people, actually there are a lot of beautiful people in this industry, but there aren't many that match really well. You and I pairing up was really well-received! My first impression on you, I already had that feel, that big brother feel because you were really patient to teach me. That is what's called a big star!

M: Big star? Are you serious? I think I was more like stupid back then!

K: How could that be? You have already been in the industry for some time and you are the most memorable male co-star I had. You simply grew up with me!

M: I've been through the "white paper" times too, but Kenix, you are very smart, digested fast and have strong ability for competition. You are a person without a temper! One time, you cried in front of me and I know you're not a person that can easily cry. This just proves you trust me!

K: Yes! I'm very stubborn! I remember back then when I was accused of tardiness, actually I would admit if I'm wrong. But that time, it is when our relationship deepened.

M: Many people asked, we see each other day and night, will there be 'sparks'?

K: Technically, yes! Haha.... I still remember we had rumors too, since we were an on-screen couple, and that time neither of us were married, but after all we didn't spark. I think because, at the time, I was too focused on work and busy studying the script. I didn't even have the time to fix my makeup, so I wasn't aware of this great man besides me, and missed out! But, I guess you did daydream about me right?

After Movie Date, No Development

M: When you were still 'crispy', how can I not daydream about you! Perhaps we were both too busy, and didn't get to take it a step further. Maybe we were just missing that one step!

K: We just missed that one little bit....but, in my memory we met up for the movies! When we were shooting Glittering Moments, we watched Jurassic Park! That time, I asked you out...why did you agree to go?

M: If nothing special, I usually agree! Going to the movies doesn't mean much, we just watch the movie and say Bye Bye, that's it! But I remember when we were shooting Shine on You, there was one kitchen scene, I asked you, back then (referring to the DIF period), if I courted you, what do you think would have happened?

K: I remember too.... when shooting DIF, you asked me that same question, but at the time I was dating Frankie Lam and we weren't public yet, I remember you still asked me, if Frankie didn't appear, would you have had a chance?

M: How did you reply then?

K: I said: "I don't know?" But in the end, you didn't pursue me, that means you didn't fight for the chance! You know what my personality is like, we are both the same. If we were together, it would be like Mars hitting Earth (not get along). If we really did get together, I believe we wouldn't end happily!

M: Today we have this harmonious relationship, proves that my decision back then was corrrect. Otherwise, we may be on bad terms now! Nowadays when we meet again, we can think of our past struggles together, our 'best partnership' award together, these are beautiful memories!

[News] Maggie Cheung, Felix Wong, Kenix Kwok, and Frankie Lam Bite TVB, Signing With City Telecom

Maggie Cheung Offered 7 Times Her Salary

TVB’s leading artists continue to leave the company. Following Bowie Lam (林保怡) and Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼), Maggie Cheung (張可頤), who worked for TVB for 17 years, also decided not to renew her contract since it expired in December 2011. It was understood that TVB offered to pay nearly double her original salary in order to retain Maggie for 3 more years; however, TVB placed many restrictions on filming in mainland. At the same time, Ricky Wong’s (王維基) City Telecom offered Maggie 7 times her old TVB salary, at the price of $140,000 HKD per episode and custom-tailored roles. With the difference in the contract terms, Maggie decided to leave TVB and sign with City Telecom.

Currently filming in Hengdian for new mainland drama, Female Phase <女相>, Maggie was originally slated to film Big Eunuch <大太監> for TVB at this time, starring oppose TV King, Wayne Lai (黎耀祥) once again. In August last year, TVB executives, Virginia Lok (樂易玲) and Chan Fai Kwong (陳輝光), discussed contract renewal terms with Maggie. They offered to increase her wages from $10,000 to $30,000 HKD per episode. TVB also made it clear that she will be the female lead of Big Eunuch and Producer Lee Tim Shing’s (李添勝) upcoming Legend of Empress Lu <呂后傳>, in which the role was a tailor-made for Maggie.

An insider revealed, “Maggie was a bit uncertain. At this time, several mainland production companies offered her roles, while Ricky Wong’s City Telecom asked her to work for them. In terms of money, TVB cannot be compared to their rivals. The mainland series were confirmed to be broadcast on Hunan TV station, the highest rating station in China. Maggie considered her options for a lengthy amount of time. She heard that Producer Lee Tim Shing will retire after filming Detective Columbus <神探哥侖布> and will not produce Legend of Empress Lu. Since TVB intended to sign Maggie for 3 years, there will not be a chance for her to renegotiate her fees in that period. Otherwise, Maggie will not be assigned to film any ‘big productions.’ Thus, Maggie did not wish to be bound by TVB’s terms.”

After Maggie decided not to renew her TVB contract and instead filmed mainland series, Female Phase, the company implemented an emergency cast change and asked Michelle Yim (米雪) to take on the role of Empress Dowager Cixi in Big Eununch instead.

Felix Wong in Discussions With City Telecom

Recently, Felix Wong (黃日華) had an exchange with Ricky Wong of City Telecom on his Weibo blog, in which Felix indicated his interest to discuss partnership opportunities. Ricky quickly replied that he would fly to Yunnan, China to dicuss with Felix. On the other hand, Felix replied that he understood Ricky was a busy businessman, thus Felix offered to seek out Ricky when he returned to Hong Kong.

Joe Ma, Kenix Kwok, Frankie Lam, and Bernice Liu Confirmed Signing With City Telecom

Earlier, Ricky Wong’s City Telecom announced that they invested $600 million HKD to recruit talent for their newly established free television broadcasting operation. Numerous TVB artists were highly sought after by TVB. Joe Ma (馬德鐘), Kenix Kwok (郭可盈), Frankie Lam (林文龍), and Bernice Liu (廖碧兒), and Janet Chow (周家怡) confirmed they had signed with City Telecom. Allegedly, Amy Kwok (郭藹明) was also tempted by the money City Telecom offered. In addition, City Telecom were also interested in signing veteran actors such as Elliot Ngok (岳華), David Chiang (姜大偉), and Yuen Wah (元華).

Offering double the amount TVB paid, City Telecom successfully recruited 31 scriptwriters, 20 producers and directors, and nearly 500 experienced production staff members. Golden script editors, Cheung Wah Biu (張華標) and Chu Keung Kei (朱鏡棋) have also accepted City Telecom’s offer. It was expected that City Telecom will start filming series in March. The first two productions will be modern dramas, which will likely be broadcast in Hong Kong in September.

Thoughts: I am excited to see what City Telecom have to offer :) With some great recruitment, I'm hoping for it's first production to be successful. It's good to see them cherishing the artistes, unlike tvb. So in the future...I also do hope that they'll cherish the talents that tvb has underrated, or still is.

Frankie Lam accompanies Kenix Kwok in caring for their newborn

Father for the first time, yesterday Frankie Lam arrived in Canossa Hospital to visit his wife Kenix Kwok who just gave birth to their 7.2 pound baby girl. He expressed that when he saw the birth of his daughter, he felt very emotional. From now and in the future, it's a family of three for them.

Yesterday during his visit at the hospital, he especially came back down to the hospital lobby to accept interviews from the Media. He said: "Her name has not been decided yet, we do have a few in mind though, but are not satisfied with any of them yet, we're taking others opinions too. Kenix is doing well on her recovery. (How are you going to award Kenix?) Before she gave birth, I was rewarding her all the time! I have never received such a large gift in my life before. The night before our daughter was born, Kenix told me that she had already been pregnant for 9 months, she was reluctant to let their baby leave her stomach. In the next two months, we won't be accepting any new jobs or series because we are still new to parenthood, not familiar with how to baby care. (When will you guys go for a boy?) Will have to look at the condition of Kenix's recovery, I do hope to have at least two kids!"

Asked who his daughter looks like? He said: "Some say that she has my eyes and nose, and lips of her mother." Frankie frankly said that he constantly wants to see his daughter, day and night.

NEW LAYOUT

FINALLY!!! NEW BANNER xD Haha, even though I still like the old one better :/ It had been up way too long, so here's a new one xD It is featuring TVB's 42nd anniversary xD Basically, just the series I enjoyed this year......beside Born Rich (haven't watched it yet)

The series are EU, Rosy Business, You're Hired, Beyond the Realm of Conscience and Born Rich. This year I was much more picky what to watch and my patient was quite low to finish a series.

EU had it's suspenses with the undercovers. I remember really enjoying this series and would watch it right after I get home xD I thought new cast, Elanne Kong was really cute with Ron xD I love all their scenes together xD I could also see Ron's improvement, like the scene where he cried at Michael's death xD haha, this series also shot Michael's (Tse) fame up, which he really deserve throughout all these years xD

Rosy Business was a great series!! At the end of the episode there's always some kind of cliff hanger that makes you want to watch it xD There were many great scenes that I had always remembered. 1 was the one that Wayne stood up for Sheren when everybody tried to take the keys, 2nd was where Sheren read her Husband's will out *claps* and also many others xD Another thing that I really like about this series was the ending. The ending wasn't exactly 'happy' or sad but just in between, which makes it better^^ Tvb would usually happy endings nowadays. As much as I like 'happy' things, too happy is just..........argh.

You're Hired.
After the 2 dramatic-ish series, there comes the comedy!!! Since the day I knew Dayo was in this series, I've always antcipated for it to come out. No doubt that it didn't dissapoint me xD I really enjoyed this series with a refreshing couple between Dayo and Charmaine. Their scenes together were sweet and special xD Haha, one word to describe it...ADORABLE xD But then I thought that the ending was kinda...rush?? I wish that tvb didn't cut out the other episodes (argh)! Anyway, a great comedy with Dayo and Charmaine. (haha, I always like 'fighting' couples for some reason xD Guess it's fun to see their reactions when they suddenly fall in love :P )

Beyond the Realm of Conscience
Hmmm....*cough*...technically....I'm not finish with the series yet, but so far it's just great xD

Born Rich
Ahem.....*cough*......well *cough*.....I didn't exactly....'start' this series....... Just think it's gonna turn out good xD But of course my thinking has 'evidence' ----> the themesong was great *thumbs up* xD

Born Rich Pics xD

Thoughts: Hehe, should of post this yesterday......
Well, looking at the caps, I could say there's gonna be alot of drama going on in BR. Hmm, somehow this kinda remind me of Heart of Greed. Maybe beacause of the big house, big family o.O Haha, anyway, I'm really looking forward to this series xD

Changes I o.O

I hope you guys recall the last post I did on Tavia, which contains the younger pictures of her in the past^^ After that, I decided to find some pictures of some other artistes too^^

Kenix Kwok - I really love the pictures of Kenix there^^ She looks really cute with the 2 ponytails....haha.....Really glad that she came back to film Born Rich after 3 years without filming^^ Can't wait to see her in there^^

Gigi Lai - Aww..she look so cute in the younger pic. ^^ I think she is a really good actress^^ and is really shocked when I first heard about the news of her retirement :( At first I thought it was only rumors, but sadly it was true. Really hope that she will return one day though^^

Ada Choi - At first, I didn't really recognize Ada in the younger pic...but when I had a better look at it, I suddenly know that it's her^^ Either in the past or currently now, I think she is still really pretty^^ I heard many praises for her acting in The Gem of Life and The Dance of Passion......but unfortunately I haven't watched The Gem of Life, and only remember the last parts of DOP. Of course one of those parts included her death :(

*More Coming Later :)
