credits hyn@http://hyn5-hyn5.blogspot.com/ for the list ;)

The awards ceremony will take place on December 5th @ 8:30pm.

Best Actor
Julian Cheung ("The Rippling Blossom")
Stephen Au ("Be Home for Dinner")
Moses Chan ("Yes, Sir. Sorry, Sir!")
Kevin Cheng ("Ghetto Justice")
Roger Kwok ("Wax and Wane")
Ron Ng ("Wax and Wane")
Ruco Chan ("The Other Truth")
Steven Ma ("The Life and Times of a Sentinel")

Kenneth Ma ("The Life and Times of a Sentinel")
Michael Tse ("Lives of Omission")
Bosco Wong ("Lives of Omission")
Bobby Au Yeung ("Men with No Shadows")
Raymond Lam ("Men with No Shadows")
Wayne Lai ("Forensic Heroes III")
Sunny Chan ("Curse of the Royal Harem")

My personal choice for this year is Steven Ma for his solid acting throughout the years :) Though unlikely that he'll get the award since he left tvb for mainland...but still support him! 2nd and 3rd choice belongs to Kevin Cheng and Ruco Chan. Back then when Kevin won the tvb king award, in my opinion it was the wrong choice, but this year, he managed to win me over with his portrayal as LA. Probably more credits to the character though, but still I think he'll be a deserving win. As for Ruco Chan as Keith in The Truth, I'm really glad to see him being promoted to the first line actor. Last year he won me over with his mental character in Every Move You Make, and even though Keith is not as interesting to me, Ruco's acting was still solid :)

A personal favourite series for the year...I am upset that none of Relic of the Emissary's actors got nominated, especially Joe Ma.

Best Actress
Liza Wang ("Home Troopers")
Tavia Yeung ("The Rippling Blossom")
Louise Lee ("Only You")
Yoyo Mung ("Only You")
Kristal Tin ("Be Home for Dinner")
Linda Chung ("Yes, Sir. Sorry, Sir!")
Charmaine Sheh ("My Sister of Eternal Flower")
Selena Li ("The Life and Times of a Sentinel")
Fala Chen ("Lives of Omission")
Kate Tsui ("Lives of Omission")
Nancy Sit ("River of Wine")
Elena Kong ("River of Wine")
Maggie Cheung ("Forensic Heroes III")
Jessica Hsuan ("Curse of the Royal Harem")
Myolie Wu ("Curse of the Royal Harem")

With The Truth's big hit, I wonder why Tavia Yeung was nominated for her role in The Rippling BLossom instead? Kinda upsetting actually....And also an unexpected pick, but shouldn't Elena Kong be in the Supporting Actress section instead? Haha doesn't matter because in which ever category she's nominated in, I'm supporting her! I think Elena is a great actress and it showed in River of Wine :)

2 other actresses I would support are Maggie Cheung and Myolie Wu. I have yet to watch Harem but Myolie won me over in Ghetto Justice and especially in The Rippling Blossom. Though it is a comedic role, there were emotional aspects to the character and Myolie did well in both. You could say it's a bias vote since I have not watch Forensic Heroes 3 to see Maggie act yet, but from previous series, I've always loved Maggie and believe that she's also great in FH3. Not entirely base on me though but I have also seen praises for her on AF's discussions.

Special mention would include Yoyo Mung :) She was adorable in Only You. First loved her as the madam in Forensic Heroes and now here again in Only You!

Best Supporting Actor
Kenny Wong ("Links to Temptation")
Ram Tseung ("A Great Way to Care")
Patrick Tang ("7 Days in Life")
Elliot Yue ("Grace Under Fire")
Mat Yeung ("Be Home for Dinner")
Law Lok Lam ("Yes, Sir. Sorry, Sir!")
Sam Lee ("Ghetto Justice")
Jazz Lam ("Ghetto Justice")
Lee Sing Cheung ("The Other Truth")
KK Cheung ("The Life and Times of a Sentinel")
Derek Kwok ("Lives of Omission")
Ben Wong ("Lives of Omission")

Ngo Ka Nin ("River of Wine")
Power Chan ("Men with No Shadows")
Lee Kwok Lun ("Forensic Heroes III")

Hot choice for this year is Ben Wong and I totally support him!

On the other hand, I am really upset Damian Lau was not nominated from The Rippling Blossom! This year he have two series released and his portrayal is solid for two very different characters! If he was on the list, I would totally give this award to him!

Best Supporting Actress
Vivien Yeo ("A Great Way to Care")
Yvonne Lam ("Be Home for Dinner")
Queenie Chu ("Yes, Sir. Sorry, Sir!"
Sharon Chan ("Ghetto Justice")
Joyce Tang ("Ghetto Justice")
Mannor Chan ("Wax and Wane")
Florence Kwok ("Wax and Wane")
Aimee Chan ("The Other Truth")
Natalie Tong ("The Other Truth")
Helen Ma ("The Other Truth")
Ching Ho Wai ("The Life and Times of a Sentinel")
Elena Kong ("Lives of Omission")

Sire Ma ("River of Wine")
Nancy Wu ("Forensic Heroes III")

Gigi Wong ("Curse of the Royal Harem")

HAha Elena Kong in here again :P Support would also go to Nancy Wu. Have you notice how Nancy is always in grand productions? She's going to be joining the cast of The Great Eunuch for next year too :)

My Favourite TV Male Character
Julian Cheung ("The Rippling Blossom")
Stephen Au ("Be Home for Dinner")
Jason Chan ("Be Home for Dinner")
Moses Chan ("Yes, Sir. Sorry, Sir!")
Kevin Cheng ("Ghetto Justice")

Ruco Chan ("The Other Truth")

Bosco Wong ("Lives of Omission")
MC Jin ("Lives of Omission")
Wong Cho Lam ("Super Snoops")
Louis Yuen ("Super Snoops")
Johnson Lee ("Super Snoops")
Wayne Lai ("Forensic Heroes III")

Wow impressed that MC Jin is nominated in here since it's mostly leads that get in here :) My support goes to Kevin Chen as LA!!! WHOO!!!! :D

My Favourite TV Female Character
Sonija Kwok ("7 Days in Life")
Yoyo Mung ("Only You")

Louise Lee ("Only You")
Liu Xuan ("Grace Under Fire")

Tavia Yeung ("The Other Truth")
Fala Chen ("Lives of Omission")
Kate Tsui ("Lives of Omission")

Cilla Kung ("Yes, Sir. Sorry, Sir!", "River of Wine", "Forensic Heroes III")

Would be between Mandy Wong and Sire Ma for me, but I think Mandy deserves it more right now :)

"Curse of the Royal Harem"

Ghetto Justice!! Only You would be close second!! Though people say The Other Truth is really good, I still don't think it's entirely the best this year. I personally didn't felt that much for the series but on the other hand, Ghetto Justice in comparison was much more enjoyable. Something I really love about it is the character development and chemistry amongst the casts. That itself just pulls you into the series along with a refreshing and comedic script :) Only You is tight second because it was just an extremely enjoyable series. No drag but rather simply heart warming :)

Other series I enjoyed would consist of River of Wine, The Rippling Blossom, Lives of Omission, Twilight Investigation, Relic of and Emissary and Home Troopers.

River of Wine wouldv'e been in the running if it weren't for the repetitive arguments because the characters were really sweet. The Rippling Blossom is really enjoyable but not entirely engaging, only liked Myolie, Chiliam and Damian. Lives of Omission is rather enjoyable because of the actions taken place which just drives the audience to continue and finish. On a whole though, you'll notice loopholes here and there, and the characters were not written as good as it seems. Twilight Investigation is just a enjoyable series but could easily be forgotten. Relic on the Emissary could be the my no.3 due to Joe Ma, Sammul Chan and Kate Tsui. The story is really interesting and refreshing. Is a recommended series to watch if you have not given it a chance yet :) Home Troopers is also another nice series too watch but nothing outstanding.

Series I have not watched (yet): "Show Me the Happy" "Grace Under Fire" "Be Home for Dinner" "Wax and Wane" "Men with No Shadows" "Super Snoops" "Forensic Heroes III" "Til Love Do Us Lie" "Curse of the Royal Harem"

Yeah, it's kinda weird to see Elena Kong nominated for lead in this role, but I guess they want to show their support for her? I'm thinking they need to push up some of their older females for when there are older leads, since many of them have left tvb. I remember reading that was the reason they wanted to sign Crystal Tin, even though she's still pretty young at 34!

I really loved Damian in Rippling Blossom also! His character was so cute!

I really liked Home Troopers as well. I thought it was a very cute, heartwarming series. It seems like a lot of people really liked Relic, but I really didn't like the series. lol

I enjoyed reading your thoughts!
