Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles Official Pics

[News] Bobby Au-Yeung Eye Bags Removed, 10 Years Younger, Next Target is Eliza Sam

Bobby Au Yeung's huge eye bags had been bothering him for years and he only could use glasses and hats to cover them up. In the past 3-4 years, eye bags got severe. However, earlier Bobby served as the spokesperson for an 'eye bag removal' endorsement, where he got his eye bags treated. He said: "Because I have bags under my eyes, even if I slept for 10 hours, people still think I'm really exhausted. Actually two bags of fat sagging on my face is really heavy and exhausting, now I can finally say bye bye to them. I feel a lot more spirited! Feels like I'm 10 years younger! I can go home and smile in my sleep"

Bobby Au Yeung had always been afraid of pain, so how did he get the courage to get his eye bags removed? He laughed: "My eye bags were saved up from all my hard work over the years, especially the last 3-4 years, it seems like its getting more severe. I already had intentions to get it fixed and I had friends who have gone to Korea and Japan to get it done. I asked for a lot of advice and opinions, but because I have two layers of eye bags, it hangs pretty low. I don't care how its done, but just thinking of undergoing surgery, I get very frightened. After all its my eyes, I don't dare to mess around with them, so that's why I never got it done. It wasn't until a friend told me surgery wasn't necessary that I started planning try it out. Unexpectedly I got an endorsement and that's how I got the courage to give it a try."

Florence Kwok Can Be My Mother, Yoyo Mung Step Mother

Bobby's eye bags and his hairstyle are considered his 'signatures'. He said: "Its the same as my hair, friends told me not to change my hair because that won't look like me anymore. However, eye bags are different. Earlier when House of Harmony and Vengeance was airing, they said my eye bags looked like cashews. So, in order to cover them up, I usually wear glasses and a hat. Nowadays, I don't have to anymore, I just have to 'bring my eyes to know people'."

When Bobby was shooting the advertisement pictures, the staff in the studio complimented that he successfully 'returned to youth'. He said proudly: "Nowadays it's pretty hard to find someone around the same age to stand next to me. It seems like after Myolie Wu and Linda Chung, I will have to pair up with 'Princess Heung Heung' (Eliza Sam). I need to submit that suggestion to TVB, they can even have Florence Kwok be my mother. If she could be Chris Lai's mother, then she certainly can be mines. Yoyo Mung can be my step mother."

Removed Eye Bags For Esther Kwan

Has Bobby's wife praised he's looks younger? He said: "Once my wife saw me, she said she has to get it done too. I immediately said no because she basically has a daily routine, sleeps around the same time and other times she'll go exercise. How will she have any eye bags? I'm different, I try to get out of it. Exercise? I'll do it tomorrow, let me take a nap first." When asked if he's full of confidence now? Bobby joked: "Yes, I'm perfect now. I could only threaten Kwok Fung before, but now I can finally challenge Raymond Lam."

Before Bobby gets the opportunity to work with Princess Heung Heung, he will first reunite with his old partner Esther Kwan. It is confirmed she'll be back to shoot a TVB series in November, Bobby said: "I'm doing all my preparations. Getting my eye bags removed was mainly because of her. Since 1998, we haven't really collaborated, and she kept it so well, if I don't look younger, how can I be her partner? Such a rare opportunity for us to meet again, I cannot lose to her. Aside from the acting, we should match on the outside as well. I really do anticipate our collaboration, there will definitely be new sparks."

Thoughts: Always enjoy reading articles of Bobby! He's always so smiley and funny x) Lols he drags Yoyo Mung into everything doesn't he :P I really want to see them pair up again...love them! HEhe but I also love him with Esther Kwan ;D Can't wait for the series next year!

[News] Chilam Cheung Explodes, Tells PA To Find Another Job

Chilam Cheung is known for being a gentleman and Mr. Good. Last night, he suddenly exploded on his own Weibo denouncing the production assistant (PA) from TVB new series Triumph in the Skies II (TITS2) for randomly issuing him schedules. He expressed: "You guys should just find another job... ... Hong Kong television's downfall is all because of you!" Actually since TITS2 started shooting, there had been rumors all along that there is confusion in the production and filming. A month ago, the crew was working in Central, the other lead actor Francis Ng, also couldn't refrain himself and started scolding the crew in public. This time, Chilam couldn't help but to speak up as well. It seems like the problem is quite serious.

Reporters contacted TITS2's producer Chan Wai Koon to get a better understanding. He expressed: "I already spoke to Chilam over the phone, and apologized to him in private. Actually that night, it was night shooting, the crew wanted to go early and prepare. That PA has only been working here for a few months and is inexperienced. He sent the crew's schedule over to Chilam, which was several hours early. The PA knows where he went wrong. (Will you fire him?) No, just like what Lee Tim Shing says, the most important is not to make the same mistake again."

Reporters also contacted Chilam, but he was unwilling to respond. However, he did post a follow-up Weibo, "The person you should say sorry to is me. I overestimated your (PA) standards!"

As for Chilam's wife, Anita Yuen, who is currently shooting in Mainland, she supported her husband on Weibo as well. "Wah! Capable of upsetting Mr. Cheung, someone with EQ exceeding an ordinary person, you all (PA) really have to get your butts spanked... ... Mr. Cheung don't be upset, bad for the health!"

* FYI: Production assistants (PA) are the lowest in the crew in a film's hierarchy, in terms of salary and authority (from Wiki). Internally, they are responsible for communicating with the other departments (props, costume, administration); Externally, they have to find the outdoor filming locations, stop cars and pedestrians from interfering with filming and control the overall outdoor filming. Anything related to the filming process is part of the PA's duties. PAs' range of work goes from handling artists' schedules to handing a napkin to the artist and setting everything up for the shoot. They basically serve as the 'Ah Sei'. (From HKChannel)

[News] Nancy Wu admits she found herself new wealthy & talented boyfriend Patt

Nancy Wu has been in the industry for 9 years and all along, she had a colorful love life. Besides previously admitting she dated Deep Ng and Kenneth Ma, she's often rumored with her co-stars. It was said Nancy dated Kenneth for a little over a year before they broke up, but apparently she couldn't forget this 'seun poon' (best deal) of the TV industry and tried several times to patch the relationship up. She tried her best to arrange business trips with him and made a low-profile guest appearance in his series. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to get Kenneth to turn back.

The heartbroken Nancy steps into the middle-age years and decides to lock down on a target. Finally, earlier this year a friend introduced her to the 'seun poon' in the creative industry (Patt). She moved from the TV industry to the creative industry, plus this new love interest of hers comes from a fairly well-off family background and is a talented gentleman. They haven't been dating for long, but Nancy already sees him as a marriage partner. This time, she cannot afford to lose.

It was understood, Patt came from a well-off family and just came back to HK after studying overseas. He established his own production company and has some fame in the advertising industry. As the boss, he also works as the art director, photographer and creative consultant. The most important is, Patt saw Nancy and it was love at first sight. They have been dating for over six months and he's often doing sweet things to please Nancy. At times, he'll give her romantic surprises, giving her flowers and new handbags. Nancy had been in a great mood, showing off her happiness on Weibo and often goes to friend gatherings with Patt. Earlier on Nancy's 31st birthday, Patt was very creative and planned a surprise birthday party on a cruise for his girlfriend. He secretly invited Nancy's close friends, including Myolie Wu, Mandy Wong and Praisley Wu on the cruise to give Nancy a memorable birthday.

Feeling all sweet with her new lover, yesterday Nancy accepted an interview over the phone and frankly admitted that she and Patt are indeed dating, "We started dating a few months ago. My new boyfriend was introduced to me by a friend. Our personalities match well, so we got together. Also he works in advertisement, so he's partially in the industry and really understands my job. (He's good at giving you surprises?) Last month, he accompanied me on my first birthday party on the cruise, very happy. Myolie Wu was very happy for me as well! (How would you score your boyfriend?) I cannot say now, we are still developing!"

Nancy's new boyfriend's full name is Patt Sham. He's only 30 and already has his own advertisement company called "HIVEMIND" and works as the Creative Director. He has directed Ivana Wong's MV before and helped Hins Cheung shoot his photo album.

Kenneth Defends Ex-Girlfriend Once Again

Ex-boyfriend Kenneth responded: "Usually when we meet at the studio, we chat about everything, but she hasn't told me about her new boyfriend yet. If it's true that she found someone who loves her, of course I wish her all the best!" As for the reports that Nancy had been hoping to reconciled with him and now she has a new target, Kenneth stressed once again: "I will say this one more time, she (Nancy) has not been trying to get back with me. It is just the media's own wishful thinking. You all shouldn't say that about her!" They are still friends, and last month on her birthday, Kenneth sent a SMS to wish her a happy birthday as well, "Our separation was not due to a third party. We are still friends and still talk about anything."

[News] Steven Ma Admits He Has Reconciled With Girlfriend

Yesterday Steven Ma was shooting a commercial for a catering group. He had to demonstrate how to cook up six different lobster dishes. He laughed and said it feels like he's doing a cooking show.

When asked about the recent rumor that he and his girlfriend reconciled? Steven generously admitted: "That's correct! My girlfriend and I did get back together and our relationship is very stabled. However, I'm not sure how we will develop in the future. After all, I am happy with both my work and personal life!" Asked if the catering company will sponsor him lobster to use for his wedding banquet? Steven laughed: "I'm not going to get marry just because of sponsors. If they sponsor me a 100 lobsters, then will I have to host a 100 table banquet?!"

Also, Steven expressed the Mainland series that he filmed earlier will be broadcasting on CCTV soon and welcomes any other TV station to give him acting opportunities.

New Banner ft. Kate tsui

So yah...I guess this explains how much I'm liking Pat (Kate Tsui) in Highs and Lows right now x)  Haha Hope you guys like the banner too :D

Highs and Lows - Kate Tsui in Episode 4

I've watched up to five episodes of Highs and Lows and is currently enjoying it alot :)  The cast is doing great so far, and I am personally loving Kate's character, Pat.

In episode 3, Pat (Kate Tsui) helped Happy Sir (Raymond Lam) to catch a drug seller (the guy in the picture above) to revenge her friend, who killed herself after getting high from his drugs.  The guy was then charged in court, but his sentence was reduced from nine years to only two years.  Why?  Because Happy Sir arranged him to help bust an even bigger drug dealer, which made the court give him a more lenience sentence.  Pat was enraged.  We then found out why....beside killing her friend, he also killed her mother back when she was a teen....even more shocking?  He's actually her dad!  I was blown by this...

They then showed flashbacks of her childhood and of how her dad killed her mom.  I felt so bad...and even cried along with Pat.  Her dad was a drug addict back then (he still is...) and when Pat and her brother and mother wanted to leave him, he forcibly made her mom take some drugs.  Pat witnessed the whole thing...but couldn't do anything to help her mom.  In the end, her mom decided to kill herself...but she didn't want to leave Pat and her younger behind, and so gave the children some sleeping drug so that they could all die together.  Pat luckily didn't drink it and ran out to ask to the police to help.  Unfortunately, her mom couldn't be save and her brother, got sick (mentally) by inhaling too much carbon dioxide.

With such a childhood, I now understand why Pat always warned her friend to stay away from drugs and never went near it, herself.  So now I'm interested in how she will become a drug addict...Pat is currently the most interesting character to watch right now, and Kate is doing well with the role too.  Kate have this image that I think, really suits Pat....she may not fit into the innocent roles but she's a killer in those "semi-good/bad roles".  As for her acting, I think there is a great improvement with her crying scenes.  I still remember kinda cringing at her crying scenes in Relic of an Emissary, but then it got better in Lives of Omission (the scene where she held onto her wedding dress...after Bosco died) and it's getting even better in here :)

Before watching the series, I shipped Ella and Raymond...but now, Kate and Raymond FTW :D

2012's Top 10 - Round 2

From the previous poll, we managed to eliminate a whole bunch and got our top ten with the most votes! Now, let's add some more character/series that weren't in the previous poll to get a NEW top ten list :D

So how does this work (fav characters):
- You get to nominate 5 characters that were not on the first list (of series that have FINISHED airing.) Ie. for those who want to nominate Raymond Lam from Highs and Lows, it cannot be done...since the series have not finish airing yet. SO that means the characters in the currently airing series will have to wait till the third round to be nominated in.

- After the list is created, from there, you will once again vote for your top 10 :) And voting for Round 2 will end in a month :D

- I understand this may be a bit repetive, but do vote...because every vote counts!!!

1) (Yat Kin/Kenneth Ma) - 43 votes
2) (Ah Fan/Tavia Yeung) - 38 votes
3) (Cheuk Yuen/Oscar Leung) - 37 votes

Happy (Late) Mid-Autumn Festival!!!

Every year, I would go around leaving messages on other blogs when a holiday like this comes around....but I got busy this year :P  haha, so kinda late....anyways, I hope that everybody had a great Mid-Autumn Festival!

Eh...mine was good, except for the fact that I had two mid terms the day after...so wasn't able to stay up late or even study D:  Haha when I woke up that morning though...the sky was still pitch black, and the moon was still glowing ;)  It was beautiful!!  So round and bright :D  Looking at it reminded me of Linda singing "The Moon Represents My Heart" in Witness Insecurity...so I started humming the song while waiting for the bus :P

Too bad the sun soon came out, so the moon kinda disappeared....but guess what, sunrise!!!  And what did that remind me off?  Hmm...have I ever talked about how I came up with the name, "Tvb Horizon"?  I initially wanted to include "Sunset" in my blog's name...because I love seeing the sunset :D  But then that didn't sound right....so what's the opposite of sunset?  Sunrise!  But of course, that didn't sound right either....so I chose "Horizon" because...it's basically both of those.  Just looking out towards the horizon.....which stretches far and wide, with an unlimited number of possibilities.  I don't want to focus my blog entirely on one thing...such as news, or reviews....but with a little bit of everything, which resulted in my messiness haha.  I post what I feel like posting, so things do get a bit scattered and disorganize :P  I don't know if that is a good thing or not...but I'm having fun! :D

OHHHHHH I tend to post something about Mid-Autumn with tvb re-lated subjects, but this year...I kinda ran out of ideas :P  BUT luckily, tvb released some of these "special" mooncakes advertisements!  IF you haven't watch it yet...watch it because they're hilarious :P  haha.

Ok...guilty is charge.  I only have the ones of Linda in it :P  If it didn't have her...I didn't download.  haha.  for those who doesn't know chinese, there are english translations over at Linda Chung Thoughts :)

My favourite one is of Ji Lam (Linda) crying over the mooncakes, that her uncle ate :P  lols so funny how she got so emotional over mooncakes ;)  hehe...

This is the "ending" for the commercial....if only the series had this happy ending...

2012 tvb awards random thoughts

Best Series
The Hippocratic Crush hands down! BUT...it does have some fierce competition in these upcoming months :)

Best Actor
So far, my vote goes to Raymond Wong, who delivered a solid performance in Bottled Passion! I also have high expectation for Damian Lau in Silver Spoon Sterling Shackles too ;) Michael Mui will also get my attention since I loved him in Gun Metal Grey!

Base on popularity though, I think Kenneth Ma stands a high chance with this award since The Hippocratic Crush was quite successful. I personally think that Kenneth can wait a year or so though. I'm a big fan of his, but still think that there are times when his acting can be unstable...so a year or more will give him a good polish :)

Best Actress
As far as the series that have been released this year, I haven't got a "Best Actress" in mind yet. For the upcoming releases though, I'm definitely keeping my eyes out for Michelle Yim in The Confidant. Another catchy role includes Tavia Yeung's in Silver Spoon Sterling Shackles...who seems to have a very high chance of winning the award this year.

Best Supporting Actor
I've already talked about this. My support goes to Lee Sing Cheung, Koo Ming Wah, Ram Tseung and Oscar Leung.  All are worthy of the award.

Best Supporting Actress
My mind immediately came to Nancy Wu and Elena Kong, despite the fact that I have not seen them much this year :P

Most Improved Actor
My support goes to Jazz Lam, Oscar Leung, Edwin Siu and Him Law. I also like Matt Yeung...haha

Most Improved Actress
Gotta give it to Mandy Wong :)

My Favourite Male Character
Omg...so hard! How am I suppose to choose here? Q.Q

My Favourite Female Character
Unlike the male characters, barely any female characters made it to my "fav" list so far this year. I think the one I like best so far though is Ji Lam (Linda Chung) in Witness Insecurity :)

For the ones that I just listed a bunch of names...it's because I just couldn't choose T-T

So what are you opinions so far?:)

Random Thoughts :D

EDIT:  REMEMBER TO VOTE ON THE POLLS EVERYBODY!!!!!!  IT's GOING TO END IN A FEW DAYS!!!!  SO HURRY AND CAST YOUR VOTES IF YOU HAVE NOT YET :D  thank you ^-^

Hmm...instead of doing my essay that's due in two days, I'm randomly surfing on youtube :P The temptation!!! Urgh!

Anyways, was just looking around when I came by these two clips of tvb's 42 anniversary. It's actually the first anniversary of tvb that I had watched! I remember these two parts were my favourite...oh the memories :D I remember posting about this....but can't find it :P lols I don't know if it's noticeable to anyone, but I do a horrible job labeling my posts!!

This segment is absolutely my favourite :)  It's neat how they have the young artistes and the elder ones together!  And the choice for the last song was perfect, ties in the sign of unity among the artistes :D

Aw...Steven and Charmaine Q.Q How I miss you guys already! I basically grew up watching Charmaine, so now her screen absence is making me very sad. As for Steven, beside being a great actor, I also think he's got a great personality too :) Seeing his smile in here....so much charm x)  Miss him so much....Now that he's in Mainland, there aren't much news to see how he is going...but if you do want to, check http://stevenma-fanblog.blogspot.ca/. I always visit there from time to time to get updates on Steven!

Oh and there's Kenneth Ma, who's now in the leading status!  I can't get over how cute he is in here!  Haha he's very passionate :P  His expressions are priceless!

Kiki's singing is sooooo nice!

I also love this segment alot.....Missing Bernice even more now, loved her parts!  I also like the song choices for the dances....hehe the themesong for War and Genders!!!!  And the one for Old Time Buddies x)

Unlike the first time I watched it, I actually "know" the younger artistes featured in here!  For example, Janet Chow and OMG  Christine Kuo!!!!  Never noticed her before.

The King Makers - Lee Sing Cheung

Lee Sing Cheung is a dependable supporting actor, who've been in tvb for years!  If you've noticed, he've been in so many series this year?  Almost all!  To be honest, I don't really like that because it can get tiring seeing him in one after another.  But overall, I still enjoy watching him onscreen because he's a great actor!

In The King Makers, I initially thought that Lee Sing Cheung landed himself in another villain role (trouble maker, sly etc) because he was always against Kristal Tin in the beginning.  Turns out, his character was a little more than that.  So now, let's talk more of the characters.

Shek Sau is the leader of the Water Way Gang and Lee Sing Cheung is second in lead.  Kristal Tin is well respected by the gang members, since the Water Way Gang is originally her father, who died along with her husband.  Lee Sing Cheung and Kristal often comes to disputes, but he never crosses any lines because he felt indebt to her husband....who died in order to protect him.  As for Kristal's relationship with Shek Sau, she really trusts him, as her father told her that he's a very trustable man.....therefor the gang was handed over to him to lead.

Now back to Lee Sing Cheung.  Like I said before, he seems dispicable at first because he's always backing up his brothers (of their wrong doings) and often had arguments with Kristal.  What we did not find out until later though....is his loyalty to the gang.  He often disputed with Shek Sau and Kristal, not because he was a trouble maker, but rather because he did not trust Shek Sau.  Back then when Kristal's dad and husband died...he've found Shek Sau suspicious but never found the evidence to prove his guiltiness.  Lee sing Cheung have just been waiting all these years to seek revenge for Kristal's dad and husband....  And as the series unveils, we get to know that Shek Sau truly planned Kristal's dad's and husband's death!!

Now the epic part happens in episode 20!  After Shek Sau's evil doings were uncovered, of course he was no longer the leader of the gang.  A gang can't be leaderless and this is when Lee Sing Cheung stepped up.  He told them that they have to select a new leader and according to the rules, the second in demand would be the one to take over the position.  He told them, considering merits, position or seniority, he's the one eligible to become the leader.  This is when I scratched my head and wondered....he really wanted the position afterall?  All my thoughts about him being loyal etc...kinda sunk.  To be honest, I was kinda upset.  Anyways, he then came over to Kristal and told her that he only admires 3 people in his life.  First of all, he said even though Shek Sau was the chief before, he have never respected him and since Shek Sau sided with her all the time, she too did not won his respect.  This is the moment where I did a palmed my face....can he get any worse than this?  Even though he showed loyalty at first...he's taking the advantage to ascend the "throne"?  =.+

What happens next?  I thought he was just going to take the position but in the end, he praised Kristal for saving the gang and told everybody, no matter how capable he is, he's still unable to compete with her and swore her loyalty.  And when Kristal refused, he told her that if she doesn't say yes, the gang will dissolve.  He won my respect in that single scene.  He's such a loyal character.  On the contrary, the scene did lack some power....the lines could've been written better and the execution to be done a bit better too (I think it's missing an emotional connection between Kristal and Lee Sing Cheung, to showcase their respect and appreciation towards each other...therefor making the scene a bit bland and not that heart-felt), but overall...it's still good.

Beside acknowledging Lee Sing Cheung's character, I also wrote this post because the scene really reminded me of Wayne's scene with Steven in Safe Guards :)

An extra note, if you've been watching Divas in Distress, you would also love Lee Sing Cheung in there!  He's got such a cute and caring role ;)  A nice change from all the recent seriousness he've been at! haha

[News] TVB Calendar Reborn in 2013 - Linda Chung & Bosco Wong heavily promoted to take the lead

(January 2009 Calendar)

Since 1998, TVB was shooting their official calendars annually, but in 2010 it was put on hiatus because Mona Fong was being "stingy". It has already been two years since TVB stopped making a calendar, but this year, new boss Chan Kwok Keung revives the TVB Calendar for 2013. Last week, heavily promoted FaDans and Siu Sangs were all appointed to begin the photo shoot. In January there will be hot on-screen couple Bosco Wong and Linda Chung from Witness Insecurity, along with Raymond Lam, Kate Tsui and Aimee Chan. It was understood, the five of them will be dress up glamorously to match the New Year's party atmosphere. Bosco, Linda and Kate had the most fate as this is their third time together on the same month. In 2009, they were the stars on the month of January as well. This will also be Linda and Raymond's third year as January stars (2008, 2009 and 2013). In February, the month of Lunar New Years, there will be Michael Miu, Roger Kwok, Michael Tse, Tavia Yeung and Fala Chen. [Ron revealed, he already did the photo shoot with Him Law, Kenneth Ma, Vincent Wong, Edwin Siu, Jason Chan and Chris Lai. They will be on the month of April.] [Myolie will be on the calender with Moses Chan and Wayne Lai, not sure which month yet.]

Bosco Wong and Linda Chung were a popular couple in the series Witness Insecurity, and are arranged to take the lead to be on the first month of the year, January. Linda said: "Since my debut in the industry, I have to thank TVB for giving me so many opportunities. I don't think there is any one particular month that is emphasized more. In fact, each and every month is equally important. I'm already happy to be part of it. I never thought of which month I should be on." Following Raymond Lam, Linda and Bosco had recently became a popular on-screen couple, she happily said: "We aren't a couple in real life. For this pairing to be so well-received by audience is rare, I'm very lucky. I've collaborated with Raymond many times before, and now with Bosco, there is a refreshing feeling. I hope in the new year, there will be another chance for Bosco and I to be a couple again."

Bosco is also a heavily promoted artist by TVB, he modestly said: "I don't have this feeling, everyone is just as important. Of course I'm happy to be part of the calendar." As for being on the month of January with Linda, is it because of Witness Insecurity? He said: "I think so because there was such positive reactions before and audience liked the pairing. (Do you hope to collaborate with Linda again?) Good!"

Moving on to February, the Lunar New Year month, it is the month most important to Chinese people. TVB arranged Michael Miu, Roger, Michael Tse, Tavia and Fala to be the stars of this month. The background is going to filled with the red theme color. As TVB said the photo shoot is going to be low-key, when Micheal Tse saw reporters, he mischievously tried to cover his face. Reporters later contacted Michael Miu, who was dressed in a suit and bow tie. He joked and said its a disadvantage being on February: "There's only 28 days in February, two days less than all the other months. (TVB stopped making calendars two years ago?) I don't remember. It's a good thing with the new boss."

As for Roger, he joked: "It's been two years since there's been a TVB calender, I couldn't eat or sleep in the last two years! TVB calenders are very representative. Each year, the photos are very beautiful and taken seriously. Of course it's best to keep the tradition going! The happiest is there is another platform for artists to promote. Haha!"
