Ghost Writer to have a Sequel

Photobucket
Due to the high ratings that the finale for TVB series <> was able to achieve (average 36 points, peaking at 41 points), a celebration ceremony was held yesterday for the cast and crew. The 3 main leads of the series – Steven Ma, Fala Chen, and Linda Chung – as well as producer Leung Choi Yuen were among those in attendance.

At the event, Producer Leung took the opportunity to announce that in addition to plans for a sequel to be filmed next year, the series will also be turned into a live stage play, which will also happen next year. Producer Leung also said that he believes Steven Ma has a good chance of becoming “TV King” at this year’s awards ceremony based on his performance in >.

Upon hearing about the plans for a sequel as well as a stage version to the series, Steven expressed that he is very happy with the opportunity. As for Producer Leung supporting him for this year’s “TV King” award, Steven replied: “Shooting a series is like waiting for the results of final exams – the results are not up to the person to say. If I think about it too much and get my hopes up, there is more chance for disappointment, but if I don’t think about it, there is more chance for a surprise. Therefore, I choose not to think about it…also, for the past couple years, the award has been within reach for me and it’s been very close.”

Fala revealed that next year, she will have the opportunity to venture into the music industry in addition to continuing with filming series, however she did not think that she would also get the opportunity to work in theatre as well: “I just found out about the plans for a stage version right now. This means that next year, I will be ‘wearing several hats’ – I will definitely need to make sure I manage my time well.”

As for Linda, she did not seem too excited about filming a sequel to <>, perhaps because she had insomnia when filming the original series: “It’s not that I don’t want to do a sequel – as long as my character gets to be truly ‘human’ and is not involved with a lot of ghost and spirit related things, then that’s fine, because I really don’t want to get insomnia again.”

THoughts:

Congrats to the casts of Ghost Writer for the high ratings xD

I do support Steven to win tv king this year! Though I might say....there's going to be alot of competition this year. Can't Buy Me Love is going to be airing in august, so that gives Moses Chan a chance. Then in October, Righteous Sea of Heroic Love is airing sometime ....so therefore will give Wayne Lai a chance. Then the hyped of Mysteries of Love...I think Raymond's going to be in the race too? .......I think A Fistful of Stances was kinda forgotten though.....cause Kenneth did a great job too! Anyways, can't wait for the awards ceremony! Lols....around 4-5 more months =3 Hmm....for the last grand production, I wonder when tvb planning to air Heaven and earth o.O

For best series though, A Fistful of Stances is the one I really, really want to win.

I wouldn't mind a Ghost Writer sequel....but by that I only mean with the same cast and about mythical stuff. If it wants to continue the storyline from the last Ghost Writer, I'd rather not. And about the musical thing...are the 'casts' going to be doing that? Now I'm wondering how they're going to do this....Think this is the first time I heard of tvb creating a theatrical version....

Charmaine Sheh to Portray Mentally Challenged Girl; Will Partner With Raymond Lam Again

Photobucket

Several years ago, Roger Kwok Chung On gained immense popularity by portraying mentally challenged characters in Square Pegs <戆夫成龙>and Life Made Simple <阿旺新傳>. Next month, Charmaine Sheh Si Man will also have the opportunity to play a mentally challenged character in the upcoming series, The Colorful World of Sister Fa <花花世界花家姐>, which will also star Raymond Lam Fung. Allegedly, Charmaine’s role will be very high profile and may even help her win the Best Actress Award again.

After filming Justice, My Foot <審死官> with Roger Kwok, Charmaine will shoot for twenty-episode series, The Colorful World of Sister Fa. As a delivery girl working at a restaurant, Charmaine’s character will have the mental capability of a ten-year-old girl. In the inspiring series, despite Charmaine’s mental disability, she faces life’s obstacles with perseverance. Her younger sister, Toby Leung Ching Kei, will be bullied by her supervisor at work, Raymond Lam. To protect Toby, Charmaine will work at the same company. As a spoilt rich heir, Raymond throws away the family fortune and in his impoverished state, falls in love with Charmaine.

Producer Kwan Wing Chung said, “Mentally challenged characters offer a great opportunity for actors. Charmaine is still filming in China now. Before leaving China , she will visit a school with mentally disabled children to gather research for the role.”

Raymond Lam Happy to Play Spoilt Heir

Raymond Lam said that he was unafraid that Charmaine will steal the limelight in The Colorful World of Sister Fa. “I always wanted to play flawed characters, to increase my acting versatility. If the audience hates the actor after watching the series, [the portrayal was successful] and I would be happy from an acting standpoint.”
Last year, Raymond and Charmaine wore matching outfits at a promotional function, sparking romantic rumors. Raymond said, “We will not have any more matching outfits, since I have my own clothing sponsor now. Due to our numerous past collaborations, I know Charmaine very well and am unafraid of rumors.”

Heavily promoted by TVB, Raymond’s new series Growing Through Life <摘星之旅> will be broadcast in August. Currently, he is rehearsing for his upcoming July concert. Yesterday, he was practicing with Kate Tsui Chi San and Ron Ng Cheuk Hei, who will be guest performers at the concert. Raymond thanked Kate and Ron for their participation. Ron said, “I should thank Raymond instead for allowing me the chance to perform at the concert. As his friend, I am happy about his upcoming concert.”

Thoughts: I am quite looking forward to this series. I've never seen Charray collaborate before, so this would be my first time. Charmaine's character reminds me too much of Roger's Ah Wong, but I'm hoping for tvb to write her character 'differently' somehow. Raymond as a spender is nice to see. I hope to hear more news on him. Hope to see many scenes of him xD I really want him to shine in this role...

(btw...this pairing kinda remind me of Charmaine's and Chiliam's pairing in Point of No Return, because Ray is the spoiled rich kid....and Charmane is going to stand up to him.)

Hmm, though I am wondering how Ray's going to fall in love with Charmaine, since she will have the mental capability of a ten-year-old girl. And shouldn't Toby be stronger than Charmaine? Why would Charmaine have to stand up for her? Will have to find out! Hope tvb's going to be good with the storyline for this.

...And the series name is quite long too xP

Raymond Lam's bitter love for "Retarded Sheh" trying for TV King {{Misleading Title}}

Raymond Lam is TVB's favorite for heavy promotions. He gets to lead many series and open concerts, taking the spotlight in two areas. TVB also made arrangements for Raymond's drama as this year's TVB anniversary series and decided to pair him up with Charmaine Sheh for a new series. TVB is working their way in pushing Raymond up for TV King.

TVB is really making Raymond in power this year, having him in series and movies one after another. After , his other series will be broadcast as the anniversary series. By the end of the month, he'll be holding his 4 night concert as well as release his new movie with Charlene Choi, Joey Yung and Wong Cho Lam, schedule to release on August 5th. Although Raymond's popularity skyrockets, TVB still wants to maintain Raymond's momentum during the TVB anniversary award celebrations, so they scheduled Raymond to start a new series in mid-August, keeping his first line Siu Sang status and popularity.

After his collaboration with Charmaine Sheh in 2007's , they will collaborate again in a new series. It was said that the series will start in mid-August. This time, Charmaine makes a breakthrough as she plays a 10 year old mentally challenged girl. As for Raymond, he plays a rich prodigal boy. Although he's very familiar with this type of role, he'll eventually experience poverty and finally become a motivated young man. In the series, Charmaine and Raymond will develop a relationship. Earlier Charmaine visited schools for the mentally challenged children to learn more about her role. Portraying this role will be a great challenge in acting for Charmaine.

Catch Me Now Overeview

[Spoilers Ahead]

Photobucket
I recently watch Catch Me Now and quite enjoyed it. Sadly though, I can't really do a full review on this because while I was watching, I kept on missing bits and pieces.....due to my irritating dvd player, that kept on freezing! So I probably watched half of what I was suppose to watch. I still really enjoy all the scenes though.

Photobucket
This series brought me a refreshing storyline that talks about a group of thieves against a group of cops. The thieves are charitable and donated half of what they steal each time to charity. They were the highlight of the series to me, and just because of them....I'd definitely recommend the series. Every time the go to steal something, it just brings joy to me xD

The thieves are all so high tech! Each of the member of the team served a purpose for their mission. Damian Lau as their mastermind, Johnson Lee as the code hacker, Koni Lui as their shooter, Eric Li as the driver, and Wilson Tsui as the keyman (he could unlock anything....and I think he's also in charge for destructions(bombs)). I love this team so much! It was a refreshing team and I absolutely adore all their moments together! They might be thieves but their friendship in here is much stronger than one can think. Love them!!!

The cops on the other hand was a bit boring compared to the thieves but they were alright. Just that the members of the thieves team were better developed and had a story behind each member. While the cops team only focused on a few of their members.

Most Enjoyable: The thieves team. Just as stated above, the highlight of the series!

Favourite Character: I believe it is BT (played by Johnson Lee) the code hacker. He's both cool and funny, a really cute character he has. My fav role of Johnson's so far. This role made me love Johnson even more than I already had!

At the Edge of Tears - I decided to merge this into the review too, because there was a part in the series that really made me cry! And it was Johnson's death...

Photobucket
I can't believe my favourite character in the whole story is the one that dies! The team was trying to escape from Evergreen Mak (the guy who plays as the villain of the series) but sadly Johnson was hurt during the escape. It was so sad to see this happen to him, especially because he was going to marry Sharon Chan (the girl that plays the girl he likes) and this was their last mission.

Photobucket
This was the team after Johnson died. They were extremely sad. This can't really be explain in words, but I cried so much because of them. They missed Johnson really much...

Recommend or Not?
I'd definitely recommend it. It wasn't a great series, but is a good one that's worth your time. Though there were some parts I didn't like.....(Joe's and Fala's arguments and other stuff). I really like when the police team are up against the thieves team...(Damian vs. Joe). I'd personally give it a 3.5/5

From now on, I'm going to be ranking series with this scale. (Haha, so most series probably going to get between 3-4. Need to be quite good to get beyond 4 xD I'm a hard judge to impress :P)

1-bad
2-ok...
3-good
4-really good
5-excellent!

TaRo xD

Photobucket

Haha, I saw these pics of Tavia and Ron and wanted to make this comic :P lols am I being mean to Ron? Hope you guys liked it! I have 2 more which I'll post later. This one is actually my favoruite xD GAH!! I'm going to be looking for more and more pics of TaRo xD Love them too much!!
