- The series will be separated into three stories.
- Many cast members will play multiple characters.
- Wayne Lai will play a kindhearted scholar who loves small animals; he and Sonija Kwok will also play a married couple. Chu Yi Dan (朱爾旦) has a pure personality. He mistakes himself as having the ability to hatch eggs. He and Sonija have been married for a number of years. Because he finds it boring, he goes out to occasionally join in the fun, reflecting modern people's marital relationships.
- Sonija will play Wayne's wife, as well as a prostitute.
- Kristal Tin will play an elder brother and a younger sister who have separate romances with Raymond Wong. There will be a male look, a female look, a male pretending to be a female, a female pretending to be a male, etc.
- Raymond will play two characters. One is a scholar with amnesia who has a romance with the younger sister Kristal. Later, he is a prince who has a male romance with the elder brother Kristal.
- Bosco Wong will just play a poor scholar. He and Eliza will play a pair.
- Eliza will play the cute and playful Lei Yue Ching (鯉魚精) and a mean rich girl, who both fight over Bosco. She is originally a carp spirit but becomes a rich girl to pursue Bosco. Afterward, there is a prenatal betrothal.
- Joyce Koi will play the Goddess of Mercy.

Thoughts:  Well the costume fitting have happened awhile ago but I had to post this up!!  The last mythical/fantasy series tvb produced was 'Ghost Writer' so I'm super excited to see this!!  I hope they film this in mainland (neeeeeeed pretty scenery).....and while the costumes are alright, I still hope to see improvement.............I want pretty/elegant costumes Q.Q

Oh my....Seeing Joyce Koi in the Goddess of Mercy costume.........JOURNEY TO THE WEST 2!  I wonder if they casted her on purpose :P

- 30 episodes long.
- There will be location filming in Foshan and Zhongshan for a month.
- The background of the story will be on the Sino-Japanese War and spies.
- Wayne Lai's character has heavy experiences. He previously killed his fiancée, so his personality becomes dreary. He will play twin brothers who were separated from each other since young. The ambitious elder brother went to Japan and became a Japanese businessman, while the younger brother is in China and becomes a guerrilla. The two brothers will be caught in between Myolie Wu. In the end, the two brothers battle each other.
- Myolie will play Cheung Kei Sang (張寄生), a spy. She will have a romantic storyline with Wayne and Edwin. She will get raped by a Japanese soldier, and she will have many intense kiss scenes with Wayne.
- Edwin will play Chow Sai Kai (周細雞), a spy. He has an unsound mind, and he also becomes a rapist. He deeply loves Myolie; although he has had many women, he is still very much devoted to her until the end. He previously attempted to rape Myolie. There will be a scene where he goes crazy such that he molests anyone he sees.
- Sire Ma will play Kam Wan Ling (金韞凌), a former Qing Dynasty family member who is the sole survivor of a deceased family.
- Lee Sing Cheung will play a former Qing Dynasty military officer. He will have a romantic storyline with Susan Tse.
- Susan will play a nanny who brought up Sire.
- Man Yeung will play Lau Ka Chung (劉家忠).
- Yuang Cheung will play a Japanese soldier who bullies Chinese commoners.

Thoughts:  The casting looks quite interesting, though the story sounds really intense?  Especially Edwin's character, sounds psychotic o.O  Edwin's recent roles have all been evil, why?  Need more variety...

Oh may I add, Wayne need to shave that beard!  Please don't let him keep that look....but very interesting that he'll be playing twins in here.  One good, one evil?  Nice ;)

- This Chinese New Year comedy will take place in 1930s Guangzhou. There will be location filming in Guangzhou.
- The Tong family includes Ching Ho Wai (paternal aunt), KK Cheung (second uncle), Sonija Kwok, Patrick Tang, and Lin Xia Wei.
- Sonija will play the 'big sister' who makes the decisions and is the head of the household. She is very dignified and intelligent. Her entire family is useless; she is the only one responsible for doing things.
- Raymond Wong will play a fallen triad leader who has many 'brothers' to take care of. He is very loyal.
- Lin Xia Wei will play Tong Nga Man (唐雅文), a Miss Xiguan. She is very forthright and sincere, and is kindhearted, but she doesn't really have any life goals, and she always sleeps until naturally waking up. She is Sonija's younger sister. She and Raymond will play a pair.
- Tracy Ip will play a villainous swindler. She is a girl who really wants to marry a wealthy person and always plots to take away the family fortune. She will seduce Mat Yeung.
- Cilla Kung will play So Fan (蘇芬).
- Evergreen Mak will guest-star for two episodes as a Marshal. He is Law Lok Lam's son.
- Vivien Yeo will play Tai Ying (大英).
- Katy Kung will play Siu Ying (小英).
- Sammy Sum will play Lung Gor (龍哥), a mean triad leader.

Thoughts: To be honest, I am kind of upset to find out that this will be a comedic series....since I was hoping for a serious one in this time era. Anyways, I wish there was more info on Sunny's character.....I want him to take on a serious/smart role again since he does great in those. Hehe I just re-watched War and Destiny for him!! Totally love him in there ;)

For some reason, whenever I see Tracy Ip...I would think of Leanne Li, who I do prefer over Tracy. haha...

Overall, nice to see a refreshing cast!  Looking forward to it ;)
