Leila first appeared at her father's grave and mentioned how she sold herself to get the money for his grave. On her way home though, she got lost in the dark and met this guy who sells light oil. She is afraid of the dark and he told her just to lit a candle and that will make her feel better =)

So we find out what place she was sold to....and it is the brothel (I actually guessed that she got sold to be someone's wife or something.....) Poor Leila, she looks really sad....

After meeting him(light guy), she keeps on ordering oil from him but then one day she told him that he don't have to come again =( Because she will soon leave the brothel....basically....she will be "bought" by one of the rich guys who goes to the brothel. (since Leila is the most famous at the brothel....she and the light guy really have no future).

I thought the sadest scene was the one of Leila during the night of the "event". She kept on looking at the candle....and blew it out. There is no longer a candle that can lit up her life after that night.....because after that night, she'll be with a guy she does not love...

So two really rich guys want Leila....and with their money, they can compete forever with no winner. So it was then decided since Leila is afraid of the dark, the person who have the most beautiful lantern will be the winner that gets her.

It is really sad when the light guy appeared in the crowd....how can he beat the 2 rich guys? But even though as grand as the lanterns were....Leila did not like any of them =(

Suddenly out of nowhere, a bunch of lights were lit on the streets (first picture, the end of the streets were full of light). Even though his lights weren't the grandest or most expensive, everybody agreed that it was the beautiful =) Like the lights, power and money can not be describe as the most beautiful....but it is the heart =)

Haha I really like this sub story because of the lights =) Life can get dark sometimes but there is always a light that you just never thought of. Beside lighting your own life, you also have the ability to brighten another's =)
